
Glendene Cycling Club
The Glendene Cycling Club is one of the largest Cycling Clubs in the county of Essex, South East England. It has over 150 members of all ages taking part in both national and local time trials, road races, mountain bike, cyclo-cross and track events as well as weekly club runs and social events.
The Club is affiliated to:
- British Cycling,
- British Schools Cycling Association,
- Cycling Time Trials,
- Eastern Counties Cycling Association,
- Epping Forest District Sports Council,
- Eastern Road Race League.
The Club is sponsored by Bike Trax, a MTB and road cycling shop in Brentwood High Street.
Club Runs
The Saturday morning training runs meet at 9.00 am for a 9.15 am start. Meeting at The Leather Bottle Pub, Blackmore. Normally it will be one group going out with an option for a second group to form up if necessary. Distance covered will be between 40 and 70 miles depending on the weather and there will be a coffee stop.
Club night
Each Wednesday evening 8pm to 10.30pm at the Navestock Village Hall, Navestockside, near Brentwood. Come and meet your club mates and hear the chat over tea and cake. This is the best 50p's worth anywhere!
